I can offer Evening Appointments up until 7.oopm and on Fridays, I have appointments available throughout the day. I currently have availability within my practice and sessions can take place over the Telephone or Online via Zoom.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my Profile. Counselling is a place where you have the opportunity to understand and work with your thoughts, distress or any loss of direction and purpose that can make a difference in your life.
Counselling can seem challenging, especially when talking about your deepest fear or difficulties in life. I can offer you a safe, non judgemental, confidential and warm environment. I work with a wide range of issues, all aspects of abuse, including Sexual Abuse and Addiction and I also specialise in Trauma and the 'Rewind' technique for PTSD. I also have a particular interest in the Menopause.
I hold a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the University of Wales, Newport and a General Counselling Diploma.
I also work with Mindfulness and can bring these elements into the session should the client require.
Practice description
I am a warm and welcoming Counsellor, working in an Integrative style and tailoring my sessions to suit the needs of the client. I offer the client a safe, supportive and confidential space to talk and to feel listened to and understood. I bring the conditions of Empathy and a Non-Judgemental Attitude. I work with Adults who are feeling stuck in their lives for whatever reason and want to start feeling better.
I have over 20 years experience as a Counsellor in Practise and I bring this wealth of experience to my sessions. I feel passionate about connecting and helping others find happiness and to reach their highest potential. I recognise the courage it takes to open up and share your with others.
My first session
I offer a free no obligation initial 15 minutes telephone conversation where we can look at the challenges that bring you to therapy. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions, to get a feel of how I work and if I am the right therapist for you.
The aim of this initial session is that if it feels right for you, you will feel more at ease when you have your first counselling session.
