Welcome to Brighter Minds
Hello I'm Tracey and I am an experienced and qualified MSc Counsellor and IAPT Accredited Interpersonal Psychotherapist I have been providing talking therapies for over 20 years within the NHS. I now divide my time between the NHS and private practice.

I work one to one with adults aged 18+ with no upper age limit.
I will provide you with a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your concerns, what's bothering you, what you feel stuck with or what's causing you emotional distress. I will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of your relationships and improve your overall emotional wellbeing. Practice description
The Counselling therapy I provide will be tailored to your needs and will be underpinned by an integrative approach which includes Person Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic theories.
The therapy will be planned and structured, with regular sessions which last for around 50 minutes. The number of sessions provided will depend on your individual needs often between 4 - 6 sessions.
I also provide Interpersonal Psychotherapy which is usually delivered over 12-16 session, with session lasting 50 minutes. Interpersonal Psychotherapy looks at the ways in which current difficulties in relationships contribute to psychological distress, and the ways in which psychological problems affect relationships.

I offer a free 20 minute telephone assessment with no obligation to book further sessions. This provides us with the opportunity to identify your issues of concern and focus for therapy. As well as what I can offer to support you in your journey to emotional wellness. Will we mutually agree a plan going forwards
I provide therapy that's one to one. Currently I'm offering sessions either face to face, online via Zoom or via telephone.

The first session is a great opportunity for us establish our working relationship, to ensure that you feel comfortable and secure so that you can begin to explore your areas of discomfort or distress.
