I work from the Awareness Centre in Clapham, London on Fridays from 1.30-5.30pm. I also have some capacity for online sessions.
About me and my therapy practice
Counselling involves us working together to alleviate concerns, develop awareness and reach a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns of relating. Counselling is a process of self discovery through an accepting, trusted and supportive relationship. I would help to guide you to develop your own coping skills and resources. This can take a varied amount of time depending on the issues and the person.
Practice description
I have trained in Integrative Counselling, combining Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Psychodynamic approaches and have 9 years experience. I am currently in the final year of studying for an MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy and I also have some training in body based therapeutic techniques. I believe we need to include the whole person and their experience in the therapeutic work in order to fully understand what is needed for healing and recovery.
My first session
The first session is a preparatory meeting where we discuss if I can offer what you need.
