About me and my therapy practice
I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to take that first step. My approach is compassionate, understanding, and tailored to your unique needs, ensuring you feel heard and supported throughout our work together.
I believe that every individual deserves a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In our sessions, my focus is on building a trusting and collaborative relationship, where you feel comfortable to share at your own pace. I am here to listen without judgement, to walk alongside you as we work through the challenges you’re facing, and to help you find clarity and strength.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, bereavement, eating issues, menopause, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling lost, my aim is to provide the support you need to move forward. I see my role as empowering you to better understand yourself, build resilience, and create meaningful change in your life.
Each session is your time, your space to reflect, process, and discover what you need to feel more balanced and in control. Whatever has brought you to counselling, I am here to support you with empathy, care, and respect. Together, we can explore ways to make life feel more manageable and fulfilling.
If you have any questions or concerns about how I work, I would be happy to discuss them with you."
Practice description
Seeking support can sometimes feel like the last resort, but finding the right help can truly transform your life. My practice provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I work with adults and young adults, supporting them through a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, bereavement, depression, eating issues, menopause, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and more.
My approach is compassionate and collaborative, with the aim of empowering you to understand yourself better, develop resilience, and achieve personal growth. I recognise that every individual is unique, so I adapt my work to meet your specific needs and goals. Whether you’re experiencing a specific issue or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward.
Clients who work with me often describe feeling more in control of their lives, gaining clarity, and developing tools to navigate future challenges. I offer a calm, welcoming environment where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without fear of judgement.
If you’re considering taking that first step towards counselling, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about my practice or how I can support you. Together, we can create a path towards greater well-being and a more fulfilling life.
My first session
My aim for the first session is to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive space where you feel comfortable to begin your counselling journey. During this session, we’ll take some time to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know one another and see if we are a good fit for working together.
I don’t rush the process, this is your time to share as much or as little as you feel ready to. We may discuss aspects of your current situation, challenges you’re facing, and what you’d like to gain from counselling. This session also allows you to ask any questions you might have about how I work or what to expect in future sessions.
The first session is charged at the same rate as my regular sessions, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards if you feel it’s not the right time or approach for you. There is no formal assessment, but I may ask a few questions to better understand your needs and how I can best support you.
If you have any concerns or specific requirements ahead of our first session, I’m happy to discuss them with you to ensure you feel fully prepared and at ease.
