About me and my therapy practice
I have been a Person Centred Counsellor since 1993 after qualifying from the University of Strathclyde. Since that time I have worked in a variety of contexts including University, Voluntary Organisations, NHS and independently. Lecturing, Training, Supervision and Clinical Leadership also feature in my professional life.
The common factor in all those aspects of my work is a deep and deepening respect for our humanity and the possibilities that can arise from that humanity.
How can I help?
I work from central Lancaster and also offer telephone sessions. The role of the counsellor is to assist and enable the client to explore many aspects of their life, feelings and experience. This can be in either short or longer term work. I work with individual adults, Employment Assistance Programmes and Organisations. The issues that I cover are wide and I have worked extensively with the trauma and impact of childhood and adult sexual abuse.
