About me and my therapy practice
My name is Kim and I love my work.
I like to work with my clients individual and unique circumstance and experiences, exploring thoughts, feelings and ways of being. Whatever age group I am working with i feel privileged to be able to support and work through my clients individual issues
I have a wide range of therapeutic experience and so a free initial informal phone or online chat is always a good starting point. This will provide us with a good perspective of how we might proceed, and which therapeutic approaches maybe be suitable.
Practice description
I work with Adults, Young People and Children, having advanced EMDR training for CYP.
I work in private practice, with EAP companies, charities and in education from primary schools right through to universities. I supervise qualified and training Counsellors as well as working with educational staff members for Consultative Supervision. The option of dream work can also be a part of my work.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes
My first session
If we decide to begin a therapeutic intervention, the first session will be an assessment, information gathering, session in order to establish the needs of the client. if the client is a child, I would see both parent/care giver and child together.
When working with younger children it is not unusual for me to work systemically seeing both child and parent together.
I work face to face as well as online. I use an integrative approach as each client is unique with individual life experiences. All counselling session content is held in the strictest confidence.
Types of therapy
CBT, Creative therapy, EMDR, Humanistic, Integrative, Narrative therapy, Person centred, Play therapy, Relational, Solution focused brief therapy, Systemic
Clients I work with
Adults, Children, EAP, Older adults, Organisations, Trainees, Young people
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Long-term face-to-face work, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Short-term face-to-face work

Practice description
I offer face to face or online supervision to qualified and counsellors in training.
I can’t emphasise enough the importance of an honest and genuine supervisory relationship were counsellors feel comfortable to be open and self-reflective while exploring all aspects of their client work.
My first session
I begin with an informal introductory phone call or online meeting, which is completely free of charge. This will provide us with a good perspective of how we might proceed in fulfilling your supervisory needs.
We can then begin contacting in a collaborative manor, this usually works with me sending a draft contract for you to read.
