• CBT
If you would like to read more about these approaches I have provided an overview section on my website which you can find here:

Practice description
I work from my counselling room in my home in Wallingford.
I am a warm, curious and reflective therapist who has experienced first-hand the wonderful power counselling has to heal and help us create a more contented self and life.
I understand counselling and therapy can feel a big (and maybe daunting) step. I want this to be as positive an experience for you as possible, and will do all I can to make taking this step as manageable and positive for you as possible!
My Qualifications & Approach
I’m an Accredited Integrative Counsellor (Person centred, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic) and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ registered member with over 14 years’ experience of working therapeutically with people.
I work with individuals who for whatever reason are struggling with how they are feeling and managing their life in various ways.
We will work together to explore and understand what you are hoping for and to know and support yourself better. A key part will be to discover ways to change how you are feeling and able to cope with life’s challenges.
My Background
I also currently work with Oxfordshire Mind supporting people with severe and enduring mental health. Working in the primary care sector and their community wellbeing hubs, I offer 1:1 Wellbeing coaching and support - and signposting to more mental health support available across Oxfordshire.
Prior to counselling I worked in the Corporate world within Human Resources. From this I understand the highs and lows of this world and carry these experiences forward into my work.
My first session
Overview of first session
Every first session is different; I do not have a set formula as I want to be led by you and your needs. In most cases we will cover:
• Building a picture of what’s brought you to counselling
• What you wish to change and resolve in the counselling process
• Discuss any previous experiences you’ve had with counselling or other helping therapies – what’s helped or not
• What counselling is, and how we might work together.
Am I the right person for you?
There is no obligation for you to continue from this first session. It’s really important you have a chance to decide if you feel comfortable with me.
Some people know instantly, others need to go away and think. Either is fine and if unsure at all, I recommend you take a bit of time, contact a few different counsellors so as to make an informed choice for you.
Counselling is a wonderful investment in yourself and so it is important you spend your time and money in the best possible way for you!
