About me and my therapy practice

Currently working online.

As an experienced Psychotherapist, with many years of employment working within both the public and private sector. I am qualified to work with Adults, Couples and Young People (12-18), on a range of presenting issues.

Counselling can provide an opportunity for you to think and talk in confidence about personal or emotional difficulties that are worrying you. It is a time and space for you to open up, examine, reflect and begin to understand the root of your troubles. It will offer you a space to explore them, build your resilience and develop different ways of dealing with them.

At the heart of counselling, is the relationship between you and your Counsellor. So, it is important that you find someone with whom you like and trust. I hope that the information found here, and the testimonials that are available to read on my website, will help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.

Thank you for your interest and I hope to hear from you soon.

My first session

At our first session, we would talk about your reasons for contacting me and what you are looking for within this Counselling space.

Within this session, there will be time for you to ask me any questions you may have around how I work, my theoretical approach and anything else you need to know.

This 50 minute paid session would hopefully offer you sufficient time to get a sense of me and how I work. To give you an idea if I am the right therapist for you, or not. To then decide if you would like to move forward.

If time permitted and you wished too. We would begin to look at contracting for the work, based on what you have brought into the session. To support your understanding of this clinical space and how we could move forward together.

I understand that for some, it is important to have a brief introductory call in advance of booking in. To meet and get a sense of me. To help decide if I am the right therapist for you, or not.

These free, 15 minute Zooms calls would not offer sufficient time to explore at any depth your reasons for contacting me, but would offer some time for you to ask any pressing questions you may have.

Whichever option feels right for you, please do get in touch and let me know.

About me and my therapy practice

I have been working  as a Clinical Supervision to qualified and trainee therapists in educational and private settings, since 2015.

My main theoretical approach is Psychodynamic, but I work from an eclectic model, drawing from my experience as a therapist and supervisor, focusing on the supervisees needs.

As with therapy, I believe that the relationship between myself and my supervisees is key, to developing a safe enough space to explore the client work together.

My aims would be to build a professional and supportive working relationship. To be honest and open for the development of a mutually satisfying and respectful supervisory relationship. To create an environment that feels safe enough, to allow the supervisee to bring their client work for support, clarification and insight. To support the supervisee to develop their confidence and ethical competence. To enable them to give their best possible service to their clients and to support their professional development, growth and learning.

I am currently working online only.

I offer concessionary rates for therapists in training. These are:

  • £45 per 60 minutes (online) From January 25, £50 per 60 minutes.
  • £65 per 90 minutes (online) From January 25 £75 per 90 minutes.

Qualified therapists rates are:

  • £50 per 60 minutes (online) From January 25, £60 per 60 minutes
  • £75 per 90 minutes (online) From January 25, £85 per 90 minutes

I look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description

Do you need a clinical space where you can breathe and say how you really feel? A calm and supportive space to bring your good work, but also perhaps the work and clients you would rather not think about.

Would you like a clinical supervisor who doesn't behave as if they are the expert of your caseload, but rather an experienced other?

I work from the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision, which means I support my supervisees to bring their whole selves to our meetings. To include: the client; interventions used; counsellor/client relationship; the counsellor; supervisor/supervisee relationship; the supervisor and the systems.

I have previously been employed as a Clinical Supervisor offering clinical supervision to therapists working with children and young people. Within my Private Practice, I also work with supervisees working with adults and couples.

I particularly enjoy working with student and newly qualified therapists, supporting their development and growth.

If you have any questions, or would like to book a free introductory online meeting. Please do get in touch.

Clients I work with

Adults, Children, Couples, Families, Organisations, Trainees, Young people
