I offer both face to face counselling sessions and online counselling sessions via Zoom.
My counselling room is Covid secure however I understand that for some, online counselling might be preferable.
I am open to working face to face, online or using a combination of the two and my clients' safety and reassurance is of utmost importance to me.
I currently work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and also offer evening appointments Monday-Friday.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited counsellor with over 10 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, couples and families.
I am a person-centred practitioner. This means that I work with the uniqueness of each individual client and endeavor to offer a relationship in which you feel heard, accepted, safe and valued.
It is essential to me to offer a space that is welcoming to all, that affirms the identities of my clients and is founded on fair and impartial treatment of all clients in a respectful, empathic and loving space.
We all deserve to feel confident, secure and valued. I do believe that things can get better and will work with you to make positive changes in your life.
Practice description
Therapy is time set aside by you and the therapist to look at what has brought you to therapy. This might include talking about life events (past and present), feelings, emotions, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour.
When you come and see me you will not be judged or criticised. We will work together to better understand yourself and your difficulties, exploring things at your pace and with the utmost respect for your privacy and confidentiality.
I have experience working with a wide range of presenting issues including but not exclusive to: loss & bereavement, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, self-harm, addiction, eating disorders, relationship problems, sexuality and identity.
My first session
The first time we meet will offer us an opportunity to get to know each other a little bit and for you to see if you feel comfortable talking to me. In this session we will discuss what has brought you to counselling and I will explain how I work and what you can expect from counselling. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions you have of me.
If we decide counselling is not the right thing for you at this time I will try and direct you to alternative support services.
