Practice description
I offer professional and qualified counselling support from my garden therapy room based in South Leicestershire. I am passionate about working with people at difficult times in their lives and aim to offer support whilst you explore what can sometimes be a life changing situation.
During our lives we are sometimes presented with news that is hard to take in and even harder to deal with. Receiving the news that you or a family member has a terminal illness or that your unborn baby or child is ill places our lives in complete turmoil.
If you have suffered loss of a loved one or colleague and are now faced with the challenge of returning to the workplace or life in general this might be a tricky time - you may find it hard to adjust and feel totally over whelmed. I am able offer you a listening ear and walk alongside you as you explore a new way of being.
At such times as this it may be difficult to talk to a relative or a friend, or take in and understand all the medical information you might be provided with. By taking time to talk to me and share your fears, worries and concerns in a calm, non judgemental setting I will listen and try my best to help you manage at what is a difficult time.
My first session
I offer an initial assessment appointment for us to explore what type of support might be required. This will give us an opportunity to meet and for you to visit my garden based therapy setting to see whether we feel that we will be able to work together in the future.
I am also able to offer initial assessments via telephone or zoom.
Give me a call to share what is causing you to consider support at this time and we can arrange a time for an assessment.

Practice description
To provide supervision and mentoring to trainee/student counsellors. I am passionate in supporting trainee/student counsellors as they start to consider a counselling placement, which is often a requirement of their course.
Choosing a placement can be overwhelming with a lot to consider. I share my experience to assist you making the choices that will work for you and to ensure that the placement is a safe start to client facing work. By using my 3 years experience of being in Private Practice I feel able to support others as they consider their journey into counselling. There is a lot to consider so I provide a wealth of knowledge drawn from my own experiences including navigating the Accreditation process.
I support teachers dealing with loss, bereavement or challenging situations in the school and am able to offer staff supervision.
I provide support to other professionals dealing with loss, bereavement or challenging situations in the workplace. This can be done in a one to one setting or a group. I use my group supervision skills to encourage attendees to share and learn from each other in a safe calm space.
I support Employers to deliver programmes of self care and well- being to their staff.
I use my experience in many different organisations to support and mentor people through difficult situations and to explore strategies that may help with planning. In particular, people that have been away from work for a length of time and are navigating a phased return to work.
I am proud to use my experience of setting up and working with other therapists as they navigate the journey of setting up in Private Practice. I have learnt that to have a mentor whilst trying to pull together what is required has been invaluable. In my 6 part mentor programme we can work thorough what is required to give your Private Practice a sound foundation.
My first session
- I offer an initial assessment prior to taking on a supervisee so that we can explore what is required from their course to ensure that this forms part of our supervision sessions. I am proud to offer a three-pronged approach to supervision, to encompass education, reflection and restoration
- I am able to attend in person or via zoom to offer supervision within the school environment
- Following my qualification as a Level 4 Clinical Supervisor I am able to offer supervision for small groups
