About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative counsellor having completed an FdSc in counselling through the University of Bristol. I am a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ. My specialities are Trauma and addictions and I have extensive experience in both of these. I have recently completed a practitioner course in Eating Disorders.
My basic therapeutic approach is person-centred but I integrate elements of other approaches including CBT and Gestalt therapy to best suit the needs of my clients and to enable them to reach solutions to their issues.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the most important aspect of counselling and is paramount to helping resolve client concerns. I aim to offer a confidential and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their difficulties and to support them to find solutions. I have sessions available on Wednesday evenings, Thursday evenings, Friday evenings and Friday afternoons.
Practice description
I can see clients face-to-face in a counselling room in my own home. This allows me to be flexible regarding days and times. I also have sessions using Zoom or on the phone.
My first session
I usually advise clients to have an initial sessions of 30 minutes to talk about what they want from counselling and for me to explain my way of working and the practicalities of sessions. This gives the client the opportunity to see if they think I am the right counsellor for them. These sessions are at a reduced fee of £30
