About me and my therapy practice
I (she / her) have worked as a psychotherapist since 2009 and have gained a thorough understanding that there maybe many reasons why a person is looking for extra support - or one reason, and that most importantly, no problem is too small.
After working online during the pandemic, I realised that some clients experienced this format very positively, so I now offer both in-person and online meetings. My office for in-person meetings is a calm, soothing environment and I hope to create a space where clients can safely explore the issues causing them challenges.
I have worked with a variety of issues which crop up during our lives - anxiety, loss & bereavement, eating disorders, anger, depression, self-harm, friendship issues, relationship and family breakdowns, self-esteem or low confidence - amongst some.
The aim is to help clients explore and understand these challenges, hopefully providing them with some useful tools along the way.
I work with both young people and adults, and the basis of our work will be to create a strong relationship and be able to trust in the process of exploring whatever it is that is troubling you.
Practice description
I work Integratively - which means my work incorporates a number of theoretical approaches, depending on the needs and character of the relationship developed with the client.
Sometimes it can be helpful to offer some psychoeducation around various issues and I am always happy to bring this into the work if my client and I agree it could be helpful.
My main aim is to create a safe and trusting relationship which will facilitate the right psychological and physical environment where my clients can explore what is going on.
My first session
In our first session or phone conversation I may ask a number of questions to work out what sort of support a client is looking for and to make sure they have the opportunity to ask me questions and gain understanding as to how I work, and what to expect in our meetings. It is really important to me that the client feels comfortable coming into our sessions and sees the space as a collaborative and supportive environment.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision work is integral to working safely and effectively with clients. My practice is a space where supervisees can bring themselves and their work for open discussions and consideration of how their work is going. My supervision training offered useful theory around this particular relationship and the boundaries and differences between supervision and counselling which has been invaluable in ensuring my practice stays focussed and curious.
Having worked with a broad range of clients (old and young) with a broad range of needs, in multiple settings (educational, charitable, private) I have a sound knowledge of some of the complications my supervisees may experience in the workplace and what they can expect from their employers as much as from their clients.
I work in an informal yet ordered manner. I want my supervisees to feel safe and relaxed in our meetings and able to open up to reflective conversations around their practice so that we can offer the best possible considerations of their client work. It is also important that I give time to the supervisee themselves and any issues they may be having to cope with outside of their client work. The health and safety of my supervisee is paramount.
I adhere to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Ethical Guidelines and undertake my own group and individual supervision.
Practice description
Supervisees can expect honest and regular meetings, a boundaried and considered approach to the work.
I will expect supervisees to be organised about what they bring to the sessions and in return I keep track of my supervisees work and progress, as well as their own personal journeys. If there are any ethical dilemmas I will ensure that we work out best ways forward, and adhere to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Ethical Guidelines.
My first session
Our first session will be a discussion about what it is you are looking for in your supervisory space, what kind of work you do, who your clients are and whether you feel I am the right Supervisor for your practice. Likewise, I will be honest with you about whether I hold suitable experience in order to give you the best support you will need.
Our first session is half price for the hour.
I am happy to offer supervision online or in-person. My private practice is in my home, in a quiet confidential space - a relaxed and attractive environment which hopefully will garner a sense of trust and safety for reflective conversations around your work.
I look forward to hearing from you!
