I work therapeutically with Adults, children (10+) and young people.
I unfortunately, do not work with children online, only in person.
Currently, I am offering online sessions via google, in-person counselling sessions, and by telephone or mobile.
My contactable hours and session availability are;
Monday – Thursday 8am – 7pm
Friday – 8am – 12pm
The last session time available is 6pm.
If you contact me outside of these times I will get back to you the next working day.
I know it can be difficult to arrange appointments around working and home life and I will try my best to find a session that is convenient for us both. So please do let me know your preference for day and time.
For some clients, they like to do a blend of online/telephone and face to face, so if this flexibility would work for you let me know.
My therapy room is on the first floor, so there are some stairs involved. If this is a difficulty for you, please let me know as I do have some availability for a downstairs room.
About me and my therapy practice
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ
I am really pleased to say that I am now offering face to face sessions for clients as well as telephone and online. I work with adults, young people and children (age10+)
I am a humanistic Counsellor and Supervisor. I have been in Private Practice now for over 10 years. I am accredited which recognise the achievement of high standards of knowledge, experience and development as an ethical and independent practitioner.
My strength is building relationships and please be prepared to laugh, as well as having the safe, confidential space to express any other emotions as well. As a humanistic counsellor, I believe that the relationship between myself and my client is paramount to the process of exploration, understanding and facilitating changing.
I work from the Person Centred position, which is about the relationship and also draw on other models of counselling. When we meet, we would work out how best the counselling would work for you and what you would like to bring to counselling. It would be then that I would consider and discuss, other ways of working in order to reflect and explore how you think, feel and behave.
I am also trained to work with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is amore specific way of working. CBT works with how you may think in a negative way, play out behaviours to support these negative thoughts and also the feelings that go alongside. It can be a really useful way for some people to find ways of challenging these thoughts and developing a mental 'tool box' that they can draw on. Sometimes, I will also draw on CBT to help identify feelings in other ways alongside other models.
It can be confusing thinking about different, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ website has some useful resources should you want to know more - or you can ask me!
If you would like more creative ways of exploring, let me know as I have a lot to offer. Sometimes ‘seeing’ things visually can give you another layer of understanding.
Practice description
I have a really lovely comfortable room and water/tea/coffee is available should you need it.
The room itself is quiet, bright and comfortable. It is based in a business Centre in the town centre of Torquay.
There is an intercom service and my room is on the first floor, so some stairs involved I’m afraid!
If stairs are a problem, please do let me know as I do have a room available with no stairs involved. This room is subject to availability but is usually workable.
There is plenty of parking available nearby. The road outside usually has some spaces and is free after 5pm. The multi-storey carpark is not far away also.
There are also plenty of buses that go past as well should you need one.
My first session
It may be a little daunting to you to make the first contact, but whatever you are feeling, please rest assured that I will deal with your call sensitively and respectfully. If I am not available to speak to directly, please do leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you have a particularly day or time you would like me to call, then if you include this in the message, I will endeavor to call you at that time.
When we do speak to each other on the initial call, you can either give me some information about what you would like to explore or you can let me know when we have our first session.
If you would like to go ahead, we will arrange a day and time convenient for you. For the first session, I usually ask for payment prior to the session, which confirms the booking. I will give you back details in order to do this.
I will also give you directions, parking details and any other information if we are meeting face to face. Or if online I will send you the link for the session once payment has been received.
I have an intercom service at the building and when you press the button for my room, I will open the door for you. I will then come down to meet you and show you where we will work.
The first session is for us to get to know each other. First of all we will discuss the counselling agree, which will give your details about confidentiality, contact details and data protection.
We will talk about what your challenges are and how you would like to explore them. I will take your lead and offer gentle encouragement to help you find some understanding as to why you think and feel the way that you do.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my listing for supervision.
I really enjoy being a supervisor and offering a space to supervisees to explore and grow. I get the most pleasure from seeing growth in counsellors and walking along side them in their journey whatever stage that may be! 10 years on, I am still growing and learning myself and hope this never stops and I will bring my enthusiasm for this work into the supervision setting.
I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited counsellor with over 10 years of experience of working with adults, children and young people. I work face to face, by telephone and online and have done for several years now. So let me know how you would like to attend your supervision, if you like to do a blend of online and face to face, I do not recommend telephone counselling for supervision.
I am an Integrative counsellor and supervisor. I am also trained in CBT, family therapy, working with children and young people and I am now undertaking EMDR therapy training.
My private practice based in Torquay, Devon. I have a very comfortable space and I am well equipped to offer creative interventions and a safe processing space for whatever you would like to explore. Creative interventions are not everyone, but if it is something you would like to try, just let me know!
I have experience in a number of settings which include Derriford Occupational Health, working with children and women who have been affected by domestic abuse, in a GP surgery setting. I have worked with children, but mostly work with young people from the ages of 10+, as well as adults currently.
I also offer counselling for an NHS IAPT service as a high intensity of counsellor, so I am quite adept at the challenges of working in a short term way. I also have clients who have been with me for the longer term, so whatever the duration you have for your clients, I will have a good understanding of some of difficulties that can arise.
Practice description
A little about my supervision model and how I work!
I use the 7 Eyed Model of supervision (Hawkins & Shohet 1985) which consists of focusing on the client, supervisee and supervisor, it is a relational model and its main focus is the process of the relationship. Let me know if you would like to know more about this model.
As well as the model I use, I do reflect and incorporate the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ ethical framework and this is an integral part of the supervision I offer.
Whatever your stage of your career, I can help you process and look towards 'best practice' in your counselling.
I believe it is important to be able to reflect and learn without judgement, in a nurturing and professional environment.
I believe it is not just about the clients you may be finding challenging, but the clients that you may have done some really fantastic work with. Relationship is important to me, not just with clients but with my supervisees, so as well as being very passionate about my work, I am also a relaxed and cheerful person, I have a good sense of humour and this comes as part of the package of supervision.
I have a really lovely comfortable room and water/tea/coffee is available should need it. The room itself is quiet, bright and comfortable.
If stairs are a problem, please do let me know as I do have a room available with no stairs involved. This room is subject to availability but is usually workable.
If you would like to work online, then we can discuss your requirements and which online platform we will be using.
My first session
I offer a free telephone consultation in order for you to ask me any questions and to see if we are best suited to each other. You can contact me via email or text, I am happy to do both.
If you are a trainee counsellor, we can discuss concessionary rates as well when we first speak. Also, if you need any reports completing for your training, I do not charge for these, but do require some notice in order to get it back to you.
I like to work creatively, so if this is something you would like to explore, I would be happy to discuss this with you. Its a little more tricky to work creatively, but not completely out of the question!
If we decide that we would like to work together, I will send you a confirmation email, directions if we are working face to face and details regarding payment.
If we are working online together, then I will also confirm our session, send you the link (google meet), and details for payment of the session.
