About me and my therapy practice
My aim is to work with you to enable you to feel you're living your life and not just existing. To collaboratively explore what's going on for you and to look for ways you can make positive changes in your life if need be. Helping you to feel that you're leading a life that suits you more. This is achieved through what is essentially a guided conversation.
So whilst the thought of talking through what's going on might seem daunting, my aim is to make the process as simple and easy going as possible. For those looking for a more rigorous approach, this can be catered for too!
As an integrative therapist I have taken what I believe to be the most effective elements of the main therapeutic approaches (CBT, Psychodynamic & Humanistic) and have crafted what I find is the most effective way of working. Along with these main elements I continue to study additional approaches and incorporate all that I feel would be beneficial in helping you reach a greater feeling of contentment with your life.
Therapy can be done over relatively short period of time. You may be surprised how quickly you can start to feel a positive change, potentially in just a few sessions.
My private practice is conveniently & centrally located in Birmingham City Centre, a short walk from New Street Station and Snow Hill Station.
I also offer virtual sessions if this would suit you better.
Please visit my website for more detailed information or feel free to get in touch direct from this site to ask any questions you may have.
Whoever you chose to work with, I hope you find the process beneficial and enables you to live your life to its fullest potential.
Practice description
My private practice is conveniently & centrally located in Birmingham City Centre, a short walk from New Street Station and Snow Hill Station. There's on street parking outside the practice.
I also work remotely, either over the phone or online, whichever way you find works best for you.
Working remotely allows for flexibility to work together wherever suits you, from the comfort of your home, to a meeting room or even whilst you're out for a walk.
It also means you're not constrained by a fixed location, so you can alter where you do your session to best suit you.
There is always the option to do either, in person or virtually as suits for a given session.
My first session
We'll start to explore what's going on for you from the very start.
There's no lengthy introduction, just time dedicated to you & what you need.
Sometimes it can take just one or two sessions to find the insight needed to make positive change.
At other times, longer is needed to really explore & understand what's happening for you.
My aim is to work with you to get you feeling better as soon as possible & we'll take whatever time is needed to do that. Including making sure any change you make is lasting & sustained.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Business coaching, Cancer, Career coaching, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Development coaching, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Leadership coaching, LGBTQ+ counselling, Life coaching, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
