About me and my therapy practice
I AM ABLE TO PROVIDE SESSIONS ON THE 'PHONE OR ONLINE (SKYPE, FACETIME, ZOOM).
I see men and women, alone or in couples, who are suffering from all kinds of anxiety and unhappiness, or are not going in the right direction in their lives. You may be having problems at work, with self-esteem or in your relationship with a partner or friends. I will help you to feel safe and focussed, and maybe to recover from nasty experiences in your early or later life including trauma, loss and bereavement. If you are a couple, I will help you to nurture your relationship by learning how to solve your problems and support each other.
I am an established UKCP and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ registered counsellor and psychotherapist. Trained and experienced in a number of types of psychotherapy (analytic, humanistic, existential, CBT), I will tailor your therapy to your individual needs. I was formerly a lawyer and academic and you should find my work intelligent and practical.
I will offer you a space to work out why you got to this place and will think with you about solutions to your problems. Together we will identify what might be stopping you from reaching your full potential and what action you need to take to improve your situation.
I offer you an initial assessment interview free of charge. It is a chance to talk frankly about what is worrying or upsetting you, discuss how psychotherapy could help, and establish how we might work together.
My consulting room is conveniently situated in W1, close to Regents Park and Great Portland Street Stations.
I am registered as a provider by BUPA, Aviva and Cigna.

About me and my therapy practice
I see clients individually or in couples, who are suffering from all kinds of anxiety and unhappiness,or are feeling lost or stuck. You may be having problems at work, with self-esteem or in your relationship with a partner or friends. You may need to work through trauma, including bullying and relationship loss. If you are a couple, I will help you to analyze what has gone wrong; and have you learn to nurture your relationship by thinking together and working out how to support each other.
I integrate several types of psychotherapy (analytic, humanistic, existential, CBT). For physical and emotional traumas, I can offer EMDR (eye movement desentisization and reprocessing) in-person and online. I was formerly a lawyer and academic (PhD) and I have been in business. You should find my work intelligent and practical.

I do not want you to pay before you know what working with me is like, so I offer without charge an initial session of up to 80 minutes. This will give you an idea of how I practise and some early indication of how we would focus our work together.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer an integrative supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists designed to underpin and promote reflective and informed practice.
I use Hawkins and Shohets' seven eyed model of supervision. This takes in
- * focus on the client
- * focus on the therapist’s interventions
- * focus on the client-therapist relationship
- * focus on the therapist’s process
- * focus on the therapist-supervisor relationship
- * focus on the supervisor’s process
- * focus on the wider context.
In my own practice bring together psychoanalytic insight, transactional analysis, some existentialism and CBT with a humanistic approach.
All elements of this integration can be brought to bear both on an understanding of my supervisee’s client and on the supervision itself, but it is not essential for a supervisee to use the same integration as myself.
This will be a ‘person-centred' supervision which starts with an analysis of the skills and knowledge which the supervisee needs to develop initially and throughout, and will emphasise proper organisation and administration.
I hold the Diploma in Integrative Supervision of Individuals and Groups awarded by The Grove.
