In order to continue to support clients during lockdown, I began to offer sessions via Zoom or WhatsApp, choosing these methods as they allowed the same benefits as in person therapy, in that we can see one another and continue to share documents securely. My clients identified that working online made therapy more accessible as they no longer had to factor in travel time. I have therefore moved exclusively to on working, which appears to offer the best of both worlds to my clients.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I strongly believe that for each of us, change can happen and offer a warm and supportive space in which you can explore your feelings and options. We all experience times when life feels difficult or overwhelming or when anxiety or depression seem to be taking over. At times like this, having the opportunity to talk things through with someone in a safe and confidential environment can make a real difference. Counselling can provide you with the space and time to reflect and consider whether you would like to make changes or to decide what direction you want your life to take.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, meaning I have been trained in a number of theoretical approaches. I can therefore work combining elements of Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis to best suit your needs and preferences, rather than . I am also able to work from a purely Person-Centred or CBT approach. I offer afford ably priced therapy, in order to ensure it is as widely accessible as possible. Some clients need just a couple of appointments to resolve an issue, while others may wish to engage in longer term work. Whatever you decide we will work together towards regaining balance and control in your life. In either case, we will regularly review our work together, to ensure we are progressing towards your goals. I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is crucial and therefore I offer the initial session for just £20 to give you the opportunity to decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
Practice description
I have experience of working with both adults and young people aged between 11 and 24, for a wide variety of issues and provide Employee Assistance Support for a number of organisations. I am also able to offer relationship therapy for couples or within the family. As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) I work within their Ethical Framework and receive regular supervision to ensure my work remains safe and ethical and also provide supervision to other counsellors. I am also on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Accredited Voluntary Register.Therapy is always tailored to meet the needs of clients and therefore there is no precise formula for the work but clients are encouraged to set goals they would like to achieve and then review them regularly, to ensure individuals are getting what they want from the sessions.
My first session
An initial half hour first session offers the opportunity for clients to ask any questions they may have and crucially to ensure you feel we would be a good match to work together. No therapist can right for every client but it is vital you find the right therapist for you.

About me and my therapy practice
My approach to supervision is that we work collaboratively with each of us being active participants in the process. I see supervision as a safe space in which you are able to explore your counselling work, process your responses and what your client work is bringing up for you. At times as you reflect it may be helpful to generate alternative ideas for working with a particular client or consider how perceiving things from different modalities could bring fresh insights. My diploma is Integrative, combining Person- centered, CBT and TA and I have also undertaken a pure CBT diploma and hold a Foundation Degree in Counselling. My CPD has included some psycho-therapeutic and systemic courses, so I am able to work with any of these modalities.
Reduced fees available for those undertaking counselling training.
