About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Matt Paxton I am a qualified counsellor with many years experience of helping individuals and couples with a range of concerns in my private practices in London and Surrey.
Currently, I have practices in Wimbledon and Dorking and I also offer telephone and Skype sessions.
In all of my practices client security and confidentiality are paramount in order to create an environment where clients are at peace and able to reach their potential in therapy.
I believe in building a respectful relationship with clients to create trust, something which can be of great importance for a client who is perhaps sharing something for the first time.
As a therapist, it is my aim to listen, sense and understand what a client is thinking and feeling, before helping the client to make sense of, and work through difficulties, as well as observe links to past experiences.
Whilst being an analytical therapist, I also feel all aspects of a client need to be understood in order for a person to undergo real change and development. For this reason I integrate other models of therapy within the working framework, the idea being to give a client the therapy they specifically need, as all clients are "individual".
I find it a privilege to be able to help clients on their journey to understanding themselves and the way they interact with the world and those around them.
