About me and my therapy practice

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

Hi, I'm Rosie.Thank you for looking at my profile. It can be hard choosing the right counsellor. I hope my profile gives you a good indication of how I work. Please do feel free to contact me for a no obligation discussion.

I am currently offering sessions both face to face and remotely and can offer a blended approach depending on the clients need.

I am passionate about working with people, having worked as a nurse for 25 years and now as a therapist.

I have experience of counselling both adults and young people, over the age of 18, as well as older adults.

I have worked with a variety of issues and am happy to take enquiries over the phone or email to discuss your needs.

Practice description

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

I am an attachment-focused humanistic therapist, which means I work in a very gentle, non-directive way, putting great emphasis on the relationship we build together. My aim is to slowly and warmly, through collaborative exploration, facilitate growth and change and help those who work with me to come to a point where they feel more confident about living their life in the way that feels right to them.

I have a special interest in early attachments (meaning how we form bonds with those close to us) as well as childhood experiences and how these shape our personality and impact our current relationships, both with our self and with significant others.

My first session

Our first session together is an opportunity to talk a bit more about the issues you bring to counselling and what you would like to work on. As well as this, it is an opportunity for you, to find out more about the way I work and together we can decide if we are the right "fit".There is a little paperwork to do in this first session, as I take some basic details from you and ask you a few questions about your general health and wellbeing. As an attachment-focused therapist I am also interested in your earlier years, and will ask a few general questions about your family of origin, but it will be later in the therapy that we explore this further. There is no obligation to continue after this first session if you feel I am not the right person for you to work with.
