About me and my therapy practice
The Supervisee will provide evidence of qualifications, professional membership, insurance and details of most recent supervisor with permission to contact with regards to obtaining a reference.
The Supervision will be based on the 7-eyed model of supervision (see below), it will include the normative, formative and restorative approach to supervision.
The theoretical model(s) will be negotiated and reviewed between the clinical supervisor and supervisee dependent on the discipline and experience of the supervisee.
Ensure ethical guidelines and professional standards are maintained
The supervisor will offer advice, support and constructive challenges to encourage the supervisee to reflect in depth on issues affecting their practice in a manner that supports personal and professional development
Discussion and documentation of client related issues are to remain non-identified in any clinical supervision record
Some discussions may not wait until the next planned supervision session. Supervisors and supervisees will need to come to an agreement regarding the type of difficulties that need urgent discussion and identify how to address if the supervisor is not available.
Feedback from supervisors and supervisees regarding clinical supervision will be sought (quarterly). The supervisee holds equal responsibility for signalling when the supervision is not working or meeting their needs. The supervisor and supervisee may review the supervision process more frequently if required.
Both parties to ensure relevant preparation prior to clinical supervision.
It is useful to prioritise your work as to what needs to be addressed first
Any reports required are requested timely with consideration of time constraints required and may incur an extra fee
