Transactional Analysis (I am fully certified in this type of therapy).
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a psychoanalytic approach and method used in the therapeutic process. This involves a process whereby interactions are analysed to determine the ego state of a person(s). This is used as the basis for understanding behaviour (thoughts and feelings) and communication with people. In T.A the communicator is taught to alter the ego state as a way to resolve emotional and mental issues within and with others. The process can be used for short or long term therapy. To produce the best outcomes for clients it is important that the therapist has appropriate in depth training in this field. As evidenced above with the title of Certified Transactional Analysis (CTA).
I have provided training and therapy at MIND (mental health charity) at Tower Hamlets (3 years) and Chelmsford (1.5 years).
All qualifications and experience can be evidence and proven which I hope assures the client/s, I am a bonafide Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
Practice description
Qualifications & Training are vital to show we abide by high standards of care and experience. Proven qualifications are shown below:-
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist & Counsellor with a MSc (psych) degree from Middlesex University which gives me the title of Psychotherapist. I am monitored and regulated by the UKCP (United Council for Psychotherapists) This professional organisation only allows membership with proven qualifications.
I am approved by BUPA, AxaPPP, Aviva health insurance companies and can provide treatment under their private health schemes. BUPA in particular have strict guidelines and will only authorise practitioners with proven, validated and authentic qualifications and appropriate training.
Training takes a minimum of 4 years and is in depth, to provide the client/s with the expertise needed when treatment takes place.
I am in regularly supervised a requirement of the UKCP with part of the fee paying for an equally qualified Psychotherapist, this is a requirement of Middlesex University. With 'Strict Confidentially' adhered to at all times.
My practice was established in 2006 and is located in Little Waltham, Chelmsford and Harley Street, London.
My first session
My practice is placed within a quiet and confidential setting, which is a peaceful, safe and a supportive environment. I am a warm, non-judgemental and compassionate person and have had my own therapy over many years (16 years +) this is a requirement of Middlesex University and is carefully monitored. So I uniquely understand and experience the problems/issues the client may face in the therapeutic process.
Transparent, open and honest dialogue is adhered to within the client relationship. Diagrams explaining various dynamics occurring within the clients life and are used to aid an awareness of patterns this assists in explaining what is occurring in the client’s life at home, work and socially. This structure is used normally within the first session to explain what can be resolved with the understanding of the model used in TA.
