Practice description

Neurodiversity is the diversity of human minds and variations are ‘normal’ and ‘valuable’ with neurodiversity being the concept that neurological differences are to be recognised and respected as any other human variation. I use a neurodiversity-affirmative approach to working with my clients.

I believe in creating a safe and confidential space to allow you to explore any issues that you wish to bring to therapy. I am a registered, qualified counsellor and an accredited member of The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) and I adhere to their ethical framework for the Counselling Professions & I am fully insured. I am warm, sincere, caring, and non judgemental. My MA research was about working therapeutically with neurodivergent people.

We all experience times when things aren't going the way we might like. We can find ourselves anywhere from a bit grey and unhappy to extremely dark and depressed, overwhelmed, stressed and spun out. We can get stuck in negative patterns of thinking which are difficult to break, become worried or anxious about the future, or unable to reconcile past decisions. A neutral space to think and feel can be extremely useful.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer integrative supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as other professionals that can benefit from supervision. My aim is that supervisees feel held, supported and gently challenged; that they leave supervision sessions with a renewed energy and motivation. I try to meet supervisees in the same way I meet my clients, where they are at, and work collaboratively to agree what is needed.

I regard supervision as our profession's unique, essential reflective space, a space in which to collaborate, relate, think, be vulnerable, feel supported, learn and grow.

I help my supervisees with such things as professional development, ethical and legal compliance, ethical dilemmas, contracting, developing their practices and CPD. Supervision offers a reflective space to explore the therapeutic process, to discuss working practices and feel supported.

I am an experienced counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor.  I hold Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Accreditation. I have an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice.

I have worked in counselling education, both as a tutor and for an awarding body and I have managed a counselling service. I am an experienced group facilitator.

Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your supervision requirements.

Practice description

Working as a therapist can be extremely challenging both personally and professionally and good supervision is extremely important to prevent burn out and feel confident in your work. I always start from a position of respect for your skills as a practitioner, and I see myself as being alongside you in your work. If you are thinking about going into private practice, I can support you in doing so. I am passionate about therapy and supervision. I like to work creatively and I use a toolbox of ideas developed over many years.

I can offer Supervisory supervision, as well as supervision within agencies and organisations on a one-to-one basis.

Supervision Fees:

  • 90 minutes £105
  • 60 minutes £70

I offer reduced rate supervision to trainee counsellors. Please contact me about this.

Please get in touch to discuss your supervision needs or if you would like any further information. I look forward to hearing from you.

My first session

In my role as supervisor, I endeavour to encourage counsellors to develop their knowledge and skills, to receive appropriate feedback and guidance, to work ethically and safely, to work creatively and give the best possible service to their clients. I work within the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and I am committed to the wellbeing of clients.
