About me and my therapy practice
I am the founder of Ramsbottom Therapy and a Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience, in that time I have worked closely with various organisations a few of which are: Barclays Bank, Cheshire Police Authority (CPA), East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) and Pennine Care (NHS).
I have gained extensive experience two fold; working with vulnerable people in stressful situations at risk in private practice, and in a successful corporate setting with business professionals. I remain in ongoing monthly supervision of practice and hold accredited, registered membership with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), registered membership with the United Kingdom Association of Transactional Analysis (UKATA). I am also a BUPA verified registered therapist, a qualified Supervisor and a qualified teacher of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am at best when psychology and development are combined.
I passionately believe in learning, facilitating people to develop awareness and solutions to challenging life events. I am energetic and positive about cascading my experience and skill to facilitate dynamic ways of working with clients, peers and trainees. I value diversity and I am committed to developing and empowering myself and others.
My first session
The therapeutic relationship is unique and not like others you may have. Within therapy, given the rich opportunity for personal development therapy offers, it is crucial we are able to maximise our sessions and make the most of therapy.
When you agree to work with me we will agree a contract for the way that we will work and what the focus of our sessions will be. We will review and adapt as we work but we will always have a foundation which we will discuss within your assessment, in our first session.
Short and long term therapy is available and we will explore your individual needs together. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and normally take place on a weekly basis.

About me and my therapy practice
Qualified Supervisor (since 2012)
I would describe my supervisory style as a psychologically integrative approach to promote insight and reflection. I help to identify choices and responsibilities to provide an environment for growth and change. Supervision is specifically tailored to meet the needs of supervisees and their clients. My own ('home-base') core modalities, include person-centred, transactional analysis, CBT, NLP and psycho-educational models. I achieve self-management through personal responsibility in record keeping and continued professional development. Comprehensive understanding and application of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ code of Ethics and Good Practice. On going supervised practice. I have a sound knowledge of the local referral network. Key accomplishments:
