About me and my therapy practice

I'm a Associate Professor, psychotherapist and a Chartered Psychologist specialising in working with adults. In addition to teaching and lecturing in psychology at Middlesex University, I have 20 years experience of working as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I am familiar with a broad range of issues in psychology and psychotherapy research, teaching and training. My private practice in NW3 is a few minutes walk from Belsize Park and Swiss Cottage Tubes, and I also practice in central London (Harley Street). Practice description

I work face-to-face as well as online with individual clients. I encourage clients to see me in person where possible, and to commit to a regular weekly or twice-weekly session scheduled for the same time each week.

My first session

In the first two sessions I ask clients to talk about their life, including their childhood and relationships. I also inquire about current issues in their life, including what brings them to therapy at this point. I discuss what a client hopes to achieve from being in therapy.
