About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can become difficult, overwhelming or stressful. I will offer you a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can talk about whatever is troubling you without fear of being judged in any way. I see my role as giving you the emotional support you need to talk about whatever is troubling you and to help you find a healthier way forward. During our sessions I will help you to gain clarity about your situation, achieve deeper personal awareness and provide you with the space to explore the changes necessary to live a more fulfilled life. I offer a concessionary rate to counselling trainees and students.
Practice description
I have 10 years experience of working with depression, stress and anxiety in its many different forms. Also relationship, identity issues and physical and/or emotional abuse. I work from a person centred perspective, which means our theraputic relationship will be key in the healing process and that the therapy will progress at your pace. I also integrate psychodynamic and other ways of working within my practice. This helps me to taylor the therapy to your individual needs.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute telephone or online consultation prior to our first session.
The first session is an opportunity for you to tell me about what has brought you to therapy and to ask any questions you might have about the way I work and what to expect from our sessions. I will then ask you to tell me about your personal history, so I can get an understanding of whether I would be the best choice for you. You will also be able to decide whether you would like to work with me.
