About me and my therapy practice
Therapy and/or coaching can be transformative, helping you increase confidence and self esteem, manage self doubt, improve relationships and overcome difficulties so you can, put simply, thrive day to day.
Working with me can help you:
- wake up feeling happier day to day
- find your way through life change and transition
- work out what you really want
- improve your relationships
- recalibrate and move forward
- feel happier and more confident at work
- navigate growing older and menopause more easily
- parent in a more satisfying way
- deal with something else entirely
How I work
I am warm and compassionate, and I offer supportive space in which you can get to know and understand yourself more fully, explore and address things that feel challenging and gain the important emotional skills that will help you to live in a way that feels satisfying.
I start with the premise that you're the expert on you, that we're equals on a journey and that I am walking alongside to support and help draw your attention to things you may not have considered yet, and share skills you may not know you need.
I believe in the important yet often neglected capacity we have to know ourselves through physical connection, and may invite you to explore mindfulness and ‘tuning in’ to your physical experience as a way of connecting deeply with, and understanding yourself.
Other skills we may work on include: using and managing your anger well, limiting the power of your critical voice, overcoming self doubt, setting boundaries, and connecting with, and trusting, your inner voice.
I am a passionate nature lover and believe in the power of the natural world to help us deal with life, often turning to the seasons and nature's metaphors to inform and enliven our work together.
Practice description
I bring my full self to my work; I’m passionate, feisty and I walk my talk. I care deeply about the importance of women leading lives that satisfy us rather than being so caught up looking after others we neglect ourselves.
With feminist tendencies and a profound dislike of misogyny I’ll accompany, and be rooting for you as you explore yourself and take steps on the journey to leading life as your full and magnificent self!
My first session
This is a chance to meet and talk about the things that are leading you to consider therapy or coaching and explore how I might help. We can see whether we feel comfortable together and I'll answer any questions you have and explain how we might proceed.
Initial sessions take place in person or one Zoom (depending on how you prefer to work going forward) and are charged for.
Ahead of our initial session we will have a brief chat on the phone so I can answer any questions and set up a date to meet.
