About me and my therapy practice

I work with individuals to help you deal with the difficult issues that affect us all from time to time. I offer you a safe and confidential space where you can discuss any and all of the concerns you have about yourself, your relationships, your work and your life. My main approach to counselling is integrative, built on a person-centred foundation and supplemented by the more cognitive approaches of NLP and CBT. This enables me to work effectively with traumatised clients on a short-term basis as well as doing longer term work to deal with more deeply ingrained issues from earlier in life. The breadth of my training enables me to build an approach for each client tailored according to their individual needs and to prioritise work on the issues most important to them at the time. As well as running my own private practice, I have previously worked for five years voluntarily for a local charity which focuses on working with male and female survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. I've previously worked in a local prison for several years, providing counselling support to prisoners with a range of needs, often involving complex issues from childhood and multiple addictive behaviours. I also offer supervision to other qualified counsellors

Practice description

I welcome enquiries for therapy from adult individuals from 18 years old and upwards.

For supervision I welcome enquiries for both qualified therapy and those currently training.
