About me and my therapy practice
Are you and your partner feeling trapped in a cycle of conflict and disconnection? Does it seem like communication has broken down, intimacy has waned, and love has faded away? You're not alone. Many couples in midlife, married, or long-term relationships find themselves in this painful place, possibly wondering whether to stay or leave.
As a couples practitioner with over 12 years of experience, specialising in midlife relationships, marriage, and long-term partnerships, I offer tailored solutions to help you navigate challenges and find your way forward.
In weekly couples counselling sessions, I help you and your partner heal past hurts, rebuild trust, and enhance your connection. Our focus is on achieving a healthy balance between independence and mutual support. Through this process, you'll develop improved communication skills while maintaining your identities. Utilising effective couples therapy methods rooted in The Developmental Model and Couples in Search of Soul, we'll work together to strengthen your relationship and deepen your understanding of each other.
In Discernment Counselling, we take a step back to gain clarity before making life-altering decisions. Together, we delve into the roots of your relationship crisis and each person's role, providing a comprehensive understanding of the situation. Whether you decide to work on your relationship or part ways amicably, you'll gain the confidence and clarity you need to move forward.
I also offer intensive, immersive couples therapy for busy couples who want to make time for their relationship in the best way possible.
Let's create a roadmap together for a healthier, more loving way of relating to each other. Contact me today to schedule your first session.
Practice description
My role is to provide a calm and supportive centre as you and your partner navigate growth together. With experience in guiding individuals and couples through negative patterns, high conflict, and trauma, my passion lies in facilitating those "aha" moments that lead to fulfilling relationships. Sometimes, this journey may lead to new beginnings or closure if needed.
As a dual-qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and coach, it helps me support you in more depth. Together, we'll delve into unconscious patterns and beliefs that may affect your relationship while nurturing your growth and potential as a couple.
Couples therapy isn't about quick fixes; it's about fostering lasting change. My approach aims to cultivate sustainable transformation, ensuring your relationship becomes resilient and deeply connected.
I practice online and in-person at Gloucester Road, London, SW7 4TE.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation via phone or Zoom.
This session also gives you a greater sense of me and my work.
Appointments are set up through an online scheduler, and you'll get a link. These times are reserved specifically for our initial consultation. If we decide to proceed, we'll arrange other suitable times for ongoing sessions.
The introductory session will help me better understand your relationship's problems, give me an idea of the potential path for counselling, and determine what I could offer to support your relationship. You can then decide whether to schedule an entire counselling session.
For couples, the initial five sessions blend individual and couple time. After that, both of you must attend all the sessions together. Sessions are a minimum of 75 minutes and weekly.
