About me and my therapy practice
Why would you consider therapy? There could be all sorts of reasons, whether a specific issue or circumstance, or just a desire to better understand yourself, your life and your relationships with others.
I’m a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited psychotherapist, supervisor and teacher with an MA in psychotherapy and counselling. I work in both Denmark Hill and online, with over 15 years' experience.
I view therapy as a joint process, a way to make sense of things in a safe, non-judgemental environment. I work collaboratively with you and my aim is to explore with you; what gives your life meaning. I provide a creative space for you to think about and explore what you want for yourself and what may be getting in the way.
You might have a particular issue you wish to think about, for example a creative block may be hindering work or psychosomatic illness may be limiting your personal life or anything else that is stoping you from living your life. Or you may just feel that this is the right time to explore your choices, and any changes you want to make in your life. I've seen the impact therapy can have on a persons' life and whilst it is an investment of time and money: I've seen clients reach their potential and turn their lives around in rather amazing and sometimes unexpected ways.
My first session
Unlike the following sessions, the first session is a more structured session and is an opportunity for you to think about what brings you to therapy, a brief overview, your goals and what you want from therapy. We will look at those goals together and review them in therapy.
