About me and my therapy practice
People choose to look for therapy for many different reasons; you may be trying to cope with a past or ongoing difficult event, or have a general sense of dissatisfaction in your life without really being able to put your finger on why. Whatever you’re going through, asking for help is rarely easy, and takes courage and strength. It is my intention to support and respect you whilst exploring your current challenges, empowering you to make positive changes in your life.
I practise integrative therapy, which means I combine different counselling methods to find the right therapy for each person. One powerful technique I offer is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is effective in removing the emotional intensity that can so often be held from past distressing or traumatic experiences, addressing addictive behaviours and phobias, and working with depression and anxiety, amongst other things.
I currently work as the Co-Director of a community counselling service, alongside my private practice.
