About me and my therapy practice
I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, working both in person and online. I have been working in clinical, therapeutic settings since 2018. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore your emotions, raise self-awareness and help strengthen your relationship with yourself and others.
I know that starting therapy can be daunting, and finding the right therapist for you, someone that you are comfortable with, is so important. This page provides a little bit of information about me and my practice, and hopefully will give you an idea of how we can work together.
I offer a free 15-minute phone chat to talk through the process and to see if you feel I would suit your needs. Do get in touch via email and we can arrange a time.
Practice description
I am a qualified Level 6 Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I abide by the code of ethics of Metanoia Institute, where I trained, and the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), of which I am a Registered member.
Gestalt Psychotherapy is a humanistic, relational talking therapy; we work together to explore all, and sometimes difficult, emotions, and to help develop a deeper level of self-awareness and self-compassion.
I have seven years experience working in clinical, therapeutic settings.
I spent two years working in the NHS Well-being services. I specialised in running support groups, alongside one-on-one sessions for those struggling with addictions; with a focus on substance abuse, hoarding and gambling. I use this experience, alongside my empathy, and four years working as a one-on-one practitioner, to support resilience and growth in my clients.
I was an on-site Counsellor for a Drama school for one academic year. My previous, decade long career, in Talent Management greatly strengthened my ability to provide support around the pressures of performing and the entertainment industry.
I volunteered with LGBT+ charity Stonewall on their helpline for two and a half years; this is something that inspired me to train as a therapist. Everyone is welcome in my practice.
My first session
Our first session will follow an initial 15 minute phone chat where I tell you a little bit about how I work, and discuss your reasons for looking for support and therapy.
In the first session we discuss this a little deeper; how I may be able to support you and your expectations.
