About me and my therapy practice
I am a Gestalt psychotherapist and I trained with Edinburgh Gestalt Institute, finishing in 2008. Gestalt is a creative and gentle way of working and is client-led - we go at your pace, looking at any part of yourself or your life that you would like to explore or change.
You may feel you have old habits that need updating, unhelpful patterns you find yourself stuck in, relationships that are not working the way you want them to, work or career paths you want to explore, feelings that are getting you down or just a sense that something in life isn't what it could be... these are all things we can explore together.
Practice description
I can offer a free 15 minute zoom or telephone call if you would like to meet me, to see what I offer and if we are a good 'fit'. It can be hard to talk about feelings and open up to someone, so it's important that we both feel we can set up a trusting relationship.
I also offer a face to face 'first session' but these are full length and are charged at the normal rate.
Appointments are usually arranged weekly, at the same time each week, for a full hour.
We will review our sessions regularly to ensure you are getting what you need; endings are usually planned, with a week or two for us to finish well, because there's a lot going on in an ending!

During the first session I will get a broad picture of what you want to bring to counselling, and how we might work with it.
You can ask me any questions you have about the way I work or how I might be able to help. I welcome transparency and will always try to co-create your therapy path with you.
If we decide to work together, I will take some basic details from you like your contact details, any previous counselling experience, whether you have mental health concerns and if you are on any medication.
