About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my profile.
Thank you for reaching out, I know it's not an easy step to make, and you may have many questions and even some doubts about the counselling process.
I work with your safety and wellbeing in mind always, and want to offer you a sense of this in any work we may undertake together.
As a counsellor, I believe that you are the expert of yourself; my role is to help guide you to your own solutions, by providing warmth, empathy and acceptance.
Counselling is a place of safety and space for you, the client, to explore whatever you choose to, at your own pace. It is completely confidential and non-judgmental.
In my practice, I work alongside you to help increase your self-awareness, resilience, and wellbeing, all within the relationship and connection we develop together.
Although therapy is a place to explore your thoughts and feelings, as an Integrative Counsellor, I also help bring awareness to your physical sensations to help teach you grounding and calming techniques. We may also use creativity to help explore your experiences.
I have a special interest in supporting clients who experience anxiety and worry and I can support you by offering an empathetic, safe space to explore your feelings, to help you notice and understand your physical sensations and teach you techniques to calm and ground yourself when you feel overwhelmed.
Practice description
I am a professionally qualified, Integrative Counsellor, and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ).
It matters to me that you feel calm and engaged in our sessions, and so I like to create a feeling of safety and warmth within our shared space, be it in person or online.
I offer sessions in person, in Exeter or Online, via Zoom, to clients based within the UK.
I hold a Level 3 Safeguarding Children and Young People and I am DBS checked. All sessions with children and young people aged 17 and under will be face-to-face.
As well as working in private practice, I also practice as a school-based counsellor and am therefore up to date with current educational practices.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute online or phone session so that you can see if you feel you could work with me, and for me to determine whether I have the right skill set to best support you with the challenges or issues you might be facing.
Sessions are then £55 per hour for adults, aged 18+.
Sessions are £55 for 50 mins for children aged 17 and under.
