About me and my therapy practice

Welcome and well done,

You've taken an important, brave and exciting step. Exploring the benefits that therapy can have and how it can support you with both day to day and more complex issues.

It takes courage to embark on the journey of self discovery that therapy takes you on, it can be the most rewarding and life changing experience with a bit of work and determination.

I understand that each of us has a very unique journey through life and that none of us is given a manual on life and how to live it in the best way.

We grow up relying on our caregivers and important relationships to guide us through the complexities of modern life and help us make sense of the world around us and how we fit in.

For some, those support networks enable us to gain a strong sense of self and the confidence to forge a rewarding path towards a fulfilling life.

For others this is not the case, instead these support networks force us to adapt our values and morals in order to be accepted and love, leading to a life of uncertainty, lack of direction and low self-esteem.

I offer safe, compassionate, non-judgmental, and confidential environment together within a secure therapeutic relationship.

Directed by your needs, we can uncover the behaviours that hinder your progress, and develop ones that help. We will build resilience and a mindset to help you in the short term, but also equip you in the long term to overcome and adapt to any future, unforeseen challenges.

Practice description

I am a Registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ trained for 4 years as an Integrative therapist with Person Centred Therapy as my core principle. I believe that each individual, just like their circumstances, are unique, therefore I constantly look to develop my understanding of various approaches to therapy, so that I can find the best way to support each of my clients.

I also continue to support a  local charity who offers free Therapy sessions to those in need.

Following the needs of my clients, I can call on multiple disciplines and theories to find the best way to unlock the challenges faced in day to day life.

Whether you are looking to make sense of your past, relationships, upbringing, or recent challenging events, I will be there with you, offering a compassionate, non-judgmental, and empathetic ear as we explore together your thoughts and feelings.

I can also offer you exercises based on mindfulness, meditation, grounding, and self-compassion, to help you find peace amongst the day-to-day anxieties that the world can often put in our way.

Sessions with me are 50 minutes long and can be either face to face, video, or telephone, depending on your needs. I recommend that the sessions should initially occur weekly. As we make progress, it may be suitable to lengthen the time between the sessions, but as always, this will be led by you.

I can also offer walk and talk sessions; nature offers many curative opportunities which I also take advantage of on a regular basis. If this is something you would be interested in, this can be incorporated into our sessions.

The number of sessions is entirely up to you; my goal is to help you create a set of tools and behaviours that you can use to cope with the future challenges of your life, independently.

My first session

I offer a free 30min Consolation session which offers you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the service that I offer.

We can discuss your current situation and goals you may have and agree how we may look to work together in the future.
