About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling to cope at the moment? Feeling in need of support?  Many of us have periods in our lives when stress or feelings of vulnerability can be overwhelming.  I am an experienced person-centred counsellor providing confidential and friendly support to people experiencing a range of issues including bereavement, loss, anxiety and depression. I have a particular interest in complex grief, abuse and trauma issues, childlessness (whether by choice or not), life transitions and spirituality.

We are all unique and you may be seeking therapy with a clear idea of issues you want to talk about; equally, you may be feeling a bit stuck or confused about your feelings and would welcome the opportunity to talk to someone. Whatever stage of your journey you may be at, I offer a calm and safe space for you to be listened to and supported as you explore your thoughts and emotions, you don’t have to go through difficult times on your own. My role is not to judge you or give advice but to accompany you in coming to your own solutions and discovering more about yourself.

Practice description

I work from my counselling studio which is in a village just outside St Neots. It is a quiet, self-contained and fully accessible space. I also have access to therapy rooms in other parts of Cambridgeshire.

My first session

I offer a free twenty minute consultation by phone as a way of making initial contact, discussing your needs and expectations of counselling and seeing if this is a right fit for you. If we decide to go ahead, sessions are weekly, lasting 50 minutes each. Counselling can be short or long-term depending on your need with our work together being reviewed regularly.
