About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Vicky, a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ-registered integrative counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals (18+) on their paths to self-awareness and healing. I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call to see if we would be a good fit to work together.

How I can help

If you’re feeling sad, depressed, anxious, or stressed, please know that you’re not alone. Many of us have moments when it feels like something is wrong, but we might not be able to pinpoint what it is. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, feeling more tearful or angry than usual, or struggling to sleep because your mind won’t quiet down. Or something may have happened to you, like a relationship breakdown or loss of some kind.

If any of this sounds familiar, I want you to know that counselling could be a path forward for you.

As your therapist, I will walk alongside you as we explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. My role is to create a safe space for you to better understand yourself without judgment. I’m not here to give advice but rather to help you uncover what’s going on for you and support you in finding solutions that resonate with your unique situation.  You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Together, we can navigate;

  • Identify patterns in behaviour that no longer serve you
  • Making connections between past experiences and current challenges
  • Enhancing your self-awareness
  • Developing coping strategies, and
  • Making positive changes to your life.

My personal experiences have profoundly influenced my understanding of mental health and well-being. As a woman who discovered later in life that I am Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), I have experienced a feeling of being out of step with the world without fully understanding why.

I am committed to nurturing an inclusive environment where you can comfortably explore your unique experiences and feelings. This is why I founded Diverse Therapy, a counselling service designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for those who work with me.

Practice description

Training, qualifications and experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and practice various humanistic therapies, such as Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis. I firmly believe that each person is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), committed to their ethical framework.

I am fully insured and have a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling.

In my role as a counsellor at The Help Hub, a low-cost counselling service in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, I have had the privilege of providing therapeutic support to individuals facing diverse mental health and emotional challenges. I create a safe and confidential environment where clients can explore their feelings, gain insight into their experiences, and embark on a journey toward healing and personal growth. I have supported many clients in developing coping strategies, enhancing self-awareness, and making positive changes in their lives.

I work with adults (ages 18 and older) navigating various challenges, including anger, anxiety, apathy, depression, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), trauma, low self-esteem, self-harm, shame, suicidal thoughts, grief, and loss.

My first session

If you feel ready to take the next step, please reach out to me via email at hello@diversetherapy.co.uk with a brief overview of your situation.
