About me and my therapy practice
Do You Feel Overwhelmed and Unsure of How to Cope?
Life can feel incredibly challenging at times, especially when facing issues like trauma, anxiety, grief, addiction, or relationship difficulties. If you're struggling with these challenges, know that you're not alone. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. Together, we'll work to build trust, uncover deeper insights and patterns, and help you find clarity.
About Me
I’m Lisa Haygarth (she/her), a humanistic therapist with extensive experience working with individuals who are navigating complex life experiences. I believe in the potential for growth, healing, and self-acceptance that exists within every person, that we all have the capacity to change and create new possibilities for ourselves when we are able to connect more fully with who we are in the present moment.
In addition to my therapy practice, I am an experienced myofascial release therapist with a background in chronic pain management, both physical and emotional. I specialise in helping clients navigate trauma and chronic pain.
Practice description
My Approach to Therapy
I am grounded in humanistic relational approaches such as Gestalt Therapy, Existential and Somatic practices. I help you tune into the "here-and-now," increasing awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. This awareness allows you to release the past and what no longer serves you, to create space for living fully in the present.
I’m here to support you on your journey to healing and self-discovery. Together, we can explore your challenges, find new perspectives, and work toward a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling and authentic.
Why Choose Me?
• Trauma-Informed: I have experience and specialist training for working with individuals who have experienced childhood adversity (ACEs), domestic or sexual abuse, and other forms of trauma. Being trauma-informed is at the heart of my practice, and I am committed to building a safe, empathetic, and trusting relationship with you.
• Intersectional and Neuro-Affirming: I take an inclusive approach, understanding that your unique life experiences and neurodiverse needs play a vital role in how you perceive and experience yourself.
