About me and my therapy practice

I’m Samia, a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist with a passion for supporting people through life’s challenges. My approach is integrative and humanistic, reflecting my belief that no single method can fully capture the complexity of each person’s experience. I work collaboratively, creating a therapeutic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with compassion and curiosity.

I specialize in areas such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, family dynamics, and life transitions. I’m particularly interested in supporting women through maternal burnout, peri-menopause, and hormonal changes, drawing from my own experiences and professional knowledge in these areas. My aim is to help you connect more deeply with yourself, navigate difficult emotions, and move towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need someone to talk to, I offer a supportive and non-judgmental environment where we can explore whatever is on your mind. Together, we will find a path forward that feels meaningful and empowering for you.

My work is particularly focused on supporting women’s mental health, including issues like maternal burnout, hormonal health, and life transitions. I also work holistically, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and emotions, and how these can impact your overall well-being.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, what you hope to achieve, and any questions you might have about the process. This session is a chance for you to share your story and for us to begin building a trusting and collaborative relationship.

We’ll also talk about practical aspects, such as confidentiality, session frequency, and any specific preferences you have for our work together. My aim is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel at ease to express yourself. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of how we might work together and whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.
