About me and my therapy practice
Taking the step to start therapy can feel daunting, and I am here to support you through that process with care and understanding. I am a qualified psychodynamic therapist offering a compassionate and culturally attuned space where we work collaboratively to explore your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. Together, at a pace that feels right for you, we’ll work to gain insights, navigate personal challenges, and foster meaningful growth within a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
My aim is to help break down stigmas around mental health, particularly within ethnic minority communities, by providing a safe, confidential, and understanding space. I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate care, and I am here to walk alongside you on your journey.
Practice description
I am a psychodynamic therapist offering a supportive space designed to help you explore the underlying influences that shape your thoughts, feelings and relationships. We will meet once a week, at the same time and location every week and you will lead and set the pace of the sessions.
As your therapist I will help you:
• Explore your unconscious mind: exploring your unconscious mind and early life experiences to uncover deep-rooted patterns from your past that shape how you think, feel and act today.
• Understand your relationships: helping you to better understand your relationships and how past experiences influence your connections with others.
• Gain a deeper understanding of yourself: developing lasting tools to navigate life’s challenges. It’s about long-term change, helping you feel more empowered, self-aware and emotionally resilient.
I am especially dedicated to supporting individuals from marginalised communities, including those facing challenges related to race, gender, and sexual identity. My work is deeply informed by an awareness of how past experiences—particularly generational and cultural trauma—impact the present. I offer an inclusive and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ identities, and I strive to create an environment where all aspects of who you are feel respected and honoured.
My first session
Taking the first step to reach out for therapy is a courageous decision and I am here to help and make it as comfortable as possible. Contact me via my website or email and we’ll begin this journey together. Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a free 10-minute consultation call on the phone. This is a chance for us to connect and discuss your therapy goals and concerns and ensure that I am a good fit for your needs. It is a relaxed informative conversation, to help start your journey.
Your first therapy session marks the beginning of your journey. We will set out the ongoing relationship and how we will work together; agree a fee, time, location and sign our therapy agreement. We will explore what was discussed in our consultation call and revisit your therapy expectations.
