About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor, working with adults who are looking for a safe and confidential space to think, feel and explore experiences and difficulties together.

At times we can feel overwhelmed by new or challenging circumstances, or troubled by past experiences or losses. These can result in issues around anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationships or low self-esteem.  Whilst we all have the ability to work through our own issues and problems, at times we need additional space and the right kind of support in order to work through them. Having the opportunity to talk, to feel seen and heard, enable us to gain a better understanding of ourselves and to increase our capacity to cope with present and future difficulties.

At the core of counselling is the relationship between you and your counsellor, a relationship in which you feel safe, and can talk freely and share your thoughts and experiences at the pace you wish. I will listen in a warm and thoughtful way, without judgement, and together we will work to help you process and understand the difficulties you are facing.

I offer 50 minute sessions on a weekly basis, always at the same time on the same day.

Practice description

As a member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ, I work to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ's Standards of Good Practice and abide by their Code of Ethics.

I have a private practice, and work in a safe, quiet and comfortable space in both St Albans and Luton.

I work in a psychodynamic way, understanding that problems, fears and anxieties we have in the present have their roots in past experiences.  Through making sense of your feelings and challenges, together we can facilitate a capacity to increase self awareness and an increased capacity to cope with present and future difficulties.
