I offer therapy in both English and Hungarian.

Practice description

As a dedicated Play Therapist, I provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can explore their emotions and experiences through play. My approach is child-centered, allowing the child to lead the way in their therapeutic journey while I facilitate their self-expression and emotional growth.

Play is a natural medium for children to communicate, and through it, I help them process complex feelings, resolve inner conflicts, and build resilience. I integrate a variety of therapeutic play techniques tailored to the unique needs of each child, whether they are dealing with anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, or other challenges.

Collaboration with parents and caregivers is a key part of my practice. I provide regular updates and work together with families to reinforce progress made in sessions, offering strategies and support to continue the healing process at home.

I believe in the transformative power of play therapy and am committed to helping each child reach their fullest potential. My goal is to create a trusting, therapeutic relationship that fosters growth, understanding, and positive change for the child and their family.

My first session

The first session in play therapy is an important step in building a trusting relationship with both the child and their caregivers. This happens after I had an initial meeting with the parents where we go through in depth your child's and family's needs and talk about therapy goals. During this initial meeting, I take the time to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for your child, allowing them to feel at ease as they explore the therapeutic space.

This session typically involves an informal assessment where I observe your child's behavior, play patterns, and emotional expressions. I may also introduce some of the play materials that will be used in future sessions to help gauge their comfort level and interests. This helps me tailor the therapy to best meet your child's unique needs.
