About me and my therapy practice
I am a specialised trauma and neurodivergent affirming therapist who offers a kind, caring, curious space for your sessions. Talking, along with creative exercises, somatic bodywork and setting goals for change may be helpful for you.
I'm passionate about listening to people and will give you the time and space to explore, process, grieve, accept, or plan for change. I have specialised training in neurodivergence, domestic abuse, grief, trauma, and sexual assault, with several years of experience in these areas.
Therapy can help you build stronger boundaries, make healthier relationships, improve your communication, and find calm. Change can feel scary and challenging, but it is also an opportunity to make different choices.
Practice description
I hope to help you understand yourself better and positively change your life. In my private practice, I personalise the therapy space for each individual client. I follow a detailed intake procedure which helps me to understand your situation, your problems and their origins.
I’m trained in person centred therapy, but my approach is pluralistic and creative. I draw on various therapeutic, somatic and creative approaches depending on what therapy might suit you best. It is important for me to adapt my style of working to you.
My first session
I hope to make therapy easy for you outside of the room. I can offer email and text reminders for upcoming sessions, regular reviews to ensure you're getting what you need from the work we do together.
I offer an initial introductory assessment appointment. We can discuss your experiences with therapy and any fears you have about it. We can see if working with me is right for you before committing to regular sessions.
I follow a detailed intake procedure which helps me to understand your situation, your problems and their origins. If forms are complex for you, we can fill these out together on the first appointment.
