Hi I am Samantha a qualified counsellor from Wealden Psychology Institute with a Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Accredited course) and have a real passion for working with people.
I am an integrative therapist, meaning I use a number of different approaches when working with my clients. Everyone is different and I believe not one approach will fit all. My sessions offers flexibility to suit you and your personal needs. I will support you not only to explore how your history may be impacting your present-day life, but also to look forward to a more purposeful and meaningful future.
Mental Health is something that touches all of our lives in one way or another and therefore I feel it's important to be able to provide a place where clients feel heard, seen and most importantly feel safe! I see therapy as a collaborative process so developing a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. As your therapist, it is not my role to provide you with the answers but together and with the right environment for self reflection we can help increase your self awareness and can work on personal struggles and negative challenges.
Clients may come to me for many different reasons, including low mood, depression, anxiety, loss and grief or that life has lost its meaning and purpose. Due to my own background, I often see a lot of clients facing life changing illnesses and have spent a few years working closely with cancer and how that impacts either patients themselves or family and friends who have loved ones battling long term illnesses.

Practice description
I currently only offer online therapy via zoom or telephone calls by phone.
Sessions take place on a weekly basis at the same day/time as agreed in the initial session.
If you'd like to continue working together following the initial session, I usually ask that you commit to 4-6 further sessions, at which point we will have a review to see how you are finding our work together. We will discuss whether you’d like to continue working with an open-ended agreement, for a fixed number of sessions or to end therapy.
My first session
Your initial session gives you the opportunity to share a bit about yourself and find your feet, sometimes the first session is always the hardest due to stepping into the unknown. This might be your first experience of speaking to someone completely independent, and I want you to be able to feel comfortable and understand fully how therapy can help you.
That’s why in our first session we will cover:
• What’s brought you to therapy
• Your background
• Your hopes for attending therapy
• Our working agreement
This is the perfect time to see if we are a good fit for one another. There is no pressure to begin regular therapy beyond this point. If either of us feels we are not the right fit for any reason, I will support you to find an alternative therapist.
The initial session is charged at the full rate and is 50 minutes long.
