About me and my therapy practice
Seeking support can stem from various issues like life changes, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or self-esteem concerns, and taking the first step may feel overwhelming.
I offer Integrative Counselling, Walk and Talk Therapy, and Coaching to support you in processing your experiences.
In our sessions, I'll listen attentively and empathetically, not just to what you say but also to what remains unspoken. You'll find a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, identify challenges, and work through them at your own pace.
I work using the Personal Consultancy Model which is rooted in the integration of counselling and coaching as a therapeutic framework.
Counselling
I draw on several therapy approaches such as:
- Humanistic
- Psychodynamic
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Solution Focussed Therapy
This enables me to tailor my counselling practice to suit your needs.
Walk and Talk Therapy
This approach combines traditional counselling with walking outdoors.
The benefits of this include:
- Feeling more comfortable to open up during sessions
- Emphasizing the connection between physical and mental health through mindfulness
- Releasing pent-up emotions through movement to facilitate a more integrated therapeutic experience
Coaching
I offer support for making meaningful life changes. When you're ready to envision and plan your future, I'll collaborate with you using coaching methods to make decisions that align with your life goals and personal values.
Together, we will plan and implement:
- How to live more authentically in the present
- Plan for the future with hope and optimism
- Problem-solve and adjust future goals as needed
Practice description
I work with adults one-to-one on a short-term or long term basis.
I offer the following:
- Counselling online or in person in Hackney
- Walk and Talk Therapy in either Clissold Park, Finsbury Park or Woodberry Wetlands
- Coaching sessions online or in person in Hackney
Sessions are held at the same time and place, and on the same day weekly or fortnightly.
My first session
I offer an initial 15 minute consultation to:
- Introduce myself and my way of working
- Discuss what has brought you to therapy and/or coaching
- Discuss what you'd like to achieve from our sessions
If you decide to proceed, I will send you a contract to read and sign and book your first full session.
