About me and my therapy practice
My special area of interest is working with parents struggling with anxiety, depression or overwhelm.
Maybe you're fed up of constantly feeling overwhelmed and on edge.
Maybe you find yourself bursting into tears when you close the door after guests or family leave.
Maybe you had a really difficult birth and know that you need to talk to someone about it as it's still affecting you now.
How would it feel to have the emotional bandwidth to deal with whatever parenting throws at you?
I can help. I was a postnatal doula before training as a psychotherapist so I have an in-depth knowledge of the roller coaster that is the postnatal period. I have a Level 7 postgraduate diploma (distinction) in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and regularly attend CPD to keep my knowledge up to date.
I also had postnatal depression and anxiety myself so I understand first-hand the difficulty of not feeling like yourself after having children. Having my own therapy really turned my parenting journey around.
Previous clients have described me as calm, warm and an excellent listener. I am non-judgmental and ensure that my clients know exactly what can and can't be kept confidential (we go through this in the first session).
I help my clients to unpick what is going on in their lives and with their mental health so that they can enjoy those early months and years with their children.
I know it can feel daunting to reach out for support but making an enquiry is the first step.
I offer a free 20 minute phone call or Zoom to see if we might be a good fit to work together or you can just book an initial appointment. The 20 minute call is an opportunity for you to give me a brief overview of what is going on for you and for you to ask any questions you might have about counselling or how I work.

Practice description
I offer online sessions via Zoom. Sessions are 50 minutes long.
Counselling is a space to explore what is going on for you in way that might not be possible with friends or family.
Often just having the opportunity to talk about how you're really feeling without the other person trying to fix it or going into panic mode can feel like a huge relief.
My first session
The first session is for us to get to know each other better and see if you'd like to come back for further sessions.
We'll go through important things like confidentiality so that you are really clear about the couple of legal exceptions that all counsellors have to comply with.
There will also be time for us to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you are hoping to gain from sessions. You are in control; I always take my lead from the client and I won't make you talk about anything you're not ready to address yet.
What I can help with
Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
CBT, Humanistic, Integrative, Interpersonal, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Relational
Clients I work with
Adults, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Time-limited

About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling to find joy in motherhood despite wanting to cherish every moment?
You might be:
- Feeling constantly overwhelmed, anxious, or on edge
- Breaking down in tears when you finally get a moment alone
- Carrying the weight of a difficult birth experience
- Finding it hard to recognise yourself in this new role
- Putting on a brave face while feeling increasingly isolated
- Wondering if you'll ever feel like "you" again
It's not supposed to be this hard - and you don't have to navigate this alone.
Imagine:
- Feeling more like yourself again
- Having the emotional strength to handle daily challenges
- Feeling able to enjoy precious moments with your little one
- Finding peace with your birth experience
- Building confidence in your parenting decisions
As a psychotherapist specialising in maternal mental health, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about your struggles.
I have lived experience of postnatal depression and anxiety and I remember how difficult it felt to reach out for help but I'm so glad I did! Therapy transformed my own parenting journey and I am passionate about helping other parents come through their own struggles during this transformative stage of their lives.
My clients describe me as calm, warm, and an excellent listener. I create a comfortable, confidential environment where you can be completely honest about your experiences and feelings.
Taking the first step:
Book a free 20-minute phone/Zoom consultation to see if we're a good fit.
We would use this time to briefly explore what's bringing you to therapy. You can ask any questions you might have about how I work and decide if you'd like to book an initial session.
Ready to take the first step towards feeling more like yourself?
