Availability
I welcome new clients looking to seek help in and around Bournemouth, Poole and Wimborne areas. I have access to therapy rooms all around the local area.
I also offer telephone and online appointments for individuals, but my preference is face to face. Couples therapy clients always need to be face to face.
I'm currently working with all new enquiries, and have some availability within a matter of days.
I work with all clients, anyone needing space to explore, understand and process where they are but I do have a high number of male clients. I find that male clients often feel more comfortable in working in a male-to-male counselling environment, which I'm happy to offer.
I welcome all new enquiries, and anyone that is looking to reach out for the help and support they need - and deserve.
About me and my therapy practice
I am trained in a theory called Person-Centered Therapy. It was founded in the 1940s by the American psychologist Carl Rogers who believed that, given the right conditions, a person can reach their full potential and become their true self, which he termed ‘self-actualisation’. This actualisation process is innate and accessible to everyone given the space, time and support as offered by a qualified counsellor.Practice description
I offer a safe and secure space for you to explore, identify and work through your problems, challenges and difficult feelings. All of our work is confidential (there are some exceptions), all of which is explained to you during our first initial session.
Through our counselling sessions I can assist in helping you to discover yourself and understand more about how you operate and why you react the way you do to people or events around you. As well as uncovering coping mechanisms which may equip you going forward.
I work with clients on a one to one basis, as well as offering couples therapy.
My first session
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ
I offer an initial telephone assessment (around 15/20) so we can begin to get to know each other, then we decide if we'd like to book in with our first face to face session where we look at how everything works and go through a contract based around our working arrangement.
We can then begin our work together in the counselling session from then on in, and book in a number of sessions to suit - at least they are then diarised and we're ready to begin.
