About me and my therapy practice
I'm an integrative-existential psychotherapist based in Kensington with experience living and working in Canada, Japan, and now the UK. I help individuals better understand their ways of being, to move forward with greater wholeness and authenticity.
I work with clients on a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship and career challenges, loss, bereavement, addictions, abuse, and trauma, among others. Exploring what’s underneath the discomfort can help us better understand your experience in the present and view of the future. It is the first step towards meaningful change.
Your journey and how I can help
I believe that we all desire to be truly seen and understood, and experiencing this within the safety of a trusted therapeutic relationship can be deeply healing. It can open new ways of seeing yourself, your story, and your possibilities.
I integrate several approaches to best support your journey of finding a more comfortable way of being in your world (see more below). In our work together, I will offer you a safe and confidential space, skilled perspective, and compassionate care.
I know that initial contact may feel like a big step, but I also know that therapeutic work can be a wonderfully enriching and rewarding experience. You are welcome to get in touch for a free initial chat.
Practice description
About Me and My Therapy Practice
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, and my Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent's University London, graduating from both with distinction. I trained in integrative psychotherapy, which allows me to draw from several different therapy approaches in response to client needs.
My work is rooted in existential frames of reference, drawing attention to the meanings you hold in the unique context of your past, present, and perceived future. I also work relationally, considering the therapeutic relationship as a vital means of connecting with your embodied experience. I am experienced in inner child work, which is particularly helpful for those with traumatic experiences.
Having lived in Canada, Japan, and now the UK, I am particularly interested in notions of identity. I am sensitive to the diverse contexts and relationships which shape who we are. This multicultural experience enriches my therapeutic practice, allowing me to connect deeply with clients from various backgrounds.
My professional experience includes supporting international executives adapting to significant career changes and new cultural environments. As such I recognise the demands corporate life may have on personal well-being. I also have many years of experience supporting women with eating disorders, addictions, and developmental trauma.
I am available for both in-person and online sessions, and I offer both long-term in-depth work, as well as short-term specifically focused sessions.
