About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm and encouraging person-centred Counsellor with a particular focus on bereavement, grief and loss.

Our experience of grief and loss is unique and personal to ourselves, whether coping with the death of a loved one, the loss of our job, beloved pet or navigating the breakdown of a relationship.

There is no ‘right way’ to grieve – you might be experiencing feelings of deep sadness and longing, but you may also experience emotions such as fear, anxiety, anger, or guilt. You may find that you cry all the time or cannot cry at all.

Often when we are struggling with anxiety or stuck in our grief, we can feel very alone. I am here to listen to you and offer informed support while you explore and process your thoughts and feelings.

Practice description

In our sessions together, we will work at your pace, building a trusting relationship where you feel safe to talk about whatever you are experiencing. I offer short term and long-term therapy depending on your needs.

Alongside bereavement counselling, I can offer support with issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, childhood experiences and attachment, anticipatory grief and long-term health conditions.

I have a Diploma in Counselling; BSc in Psychology and I am trained to use ‘Talking Mats’, which is a useful communication tool for those who have additional communication needs.

I offer in-person counselling to adults (18+) in Stirling and Bearsden and online therapy sessions across the UK, so please do get in touch.
