About me and my therapy practice

My name is Natelie Henriques,  I am passionate about supporting parents at any stage of their perinatal journey.

I work as a creative, integrative, and trauma-informed counsellor.  I tailor my methods to meet each client's needs. As I see each client as an individual, I don't believe in one approach for all.

We are all unique and have our own stories and histories. My goal is to help you gain clarity about yourself and your situations, enabling you to break free from unhelpful patterns and find new ways to navigate your internal and external challenges on your perinatal journey.

In my practice, the counselling relationship is a partnership. Our sessions provide a safe space to explore, reflect, experiment, and discover your true self and the answers that resonate with you.

My diverse background and extensive experience have equipped me with a comprehensive skill set to help mothers-to-be, birthing people, fathers, and individuals. I am deeply committed to empowering all I work with during their perinatal journey and strive to impact their lives positively. I work for MumsAid, a leading Perinatal Mental Health Charity in South East London. I also run Steps Therapy and Mother & Bump, which I have successfully run as additions for the past 15 years. Regarding my training, qualifications, and experience, I have completed CPCAB Level 4 counselling in integrative therapy as my core training. Additionally, I have a certificate in online and telephone counselling, safeguarding training and Continuous Professional Development training.

Additionally, I have extensive experience as an experienced Birth Doula & Postnatal Doula, Antenatal teacher, Hypnobirthing instructor, and Bodyworker specialising in antenatal and prenatal care. I have worked with families throughout South East London and North Kent, facilitating within local NHS Trusts and local authorities' Children's Centres. I am a registered member of The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ. I am fully insured and DBS Checked.

My first session

We'll embark on a journey of understanding and collaboration during our first session. Here's what you can expect:

*Working Agreement We'll start by discussing our working agreement, establishing the framework for our sessions and clarifying expectations. This is a collaborative process where I ensure that our work together aligns with your needs and goals.

*Getting to Know Each Other  Our initial meeting is an opportunity to get to know each other better. We'll explore your concerns, goals, hopes for therapy, and any questions or uncertainties you may have. I'll also share more about my approach to counselling and how I approach it! I can support you on your journey.

Exploring Troubles**: Together, we'll delve into what's troubling you and identify areas of focus for our work together.

**Assessing Fit**: By the end of our initial session, you'll know whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether my therapeutic approach resonates with you. Together, we'll determine if we're a good fit for longer-term work, ensuring you feel empowered and informed in your decision. As it is always up to you.
