About me and my therapy practice

I'm a qualified counsellor specialising in high-functioning anxiety. I mostly work with perfectionism, overthinking, people pleasing, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, and those who struggle to implement healthy boundaries.

Are you finding yourself feeling lost, overwhelmed, or in a constant state of fear and panic? Do you desperately want to feel accepted, appreciated, and feel like you belong? I understand how it feels to be at a constant war with yourself, battling your inner critic and never feeling good enough.

Anxiety can feel debilitating, intense, and unfortunately so often misunderstood. You can feel so alone in your suffering because on the outside you seem to have it all together. Anxiety can negatively impact your relationship, your work, your studies and day-to-day life. If you feel like this is you, I invite you to reach out and schedule the session. You don't have to face these difficulties alone. I am here to help you navigate your personal challenges and work towards a happier and healthier life.

As a neurodivergent counsellor, I specialise in working with neurodiverse individuals, offering a unique and empathetic perspective on their experiences. I understand the diverse ways neurodivergence can impact life and provide a space where clients can explore their identity, challenges, and strengths with someone who truly understands their neurodiversity. My approach is collaborative and supportive, helping clients embrace their differences and navigate life with confidence and self-compassion.

Practice description

I work in a person-centred way with incorporation of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which involves integrating the core principles of person-centred therapy—such as empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence—with the structured, goal-oriented techniques of CBT. This blended approach creates a supportive and non-judgmental environment, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance where you feel understood and valued. Within this empathetic framework, CBT strategies are employed to help you identify and challenge maladaptive thoughts and behaviours. By tailoring CBT interventions to your unique experiences and values, I ensure that your autonomy and perspective are central to the therapeutic process. This blend enhances your self-awareness and empowers you to actively participate in your own healing, promoting meaningful and lasting change.

About me and my therapy practice

About Me:

Navigating the complexities of anxiety, self-esteem, self-doubt, and perfectionism can often feel like walking through a maze without a map. Whether you’re grappling with overwhelming anxiety, struggling with feelings of self-doubt, or finding it hard to silence that inner critic, I’m here to walk alongside you. My approach is rooted in deep compassion, understanding, and a genuine desire to help you rediscover your own strength and self-worth.

I specialise in working with individuals who face challenges related to anxiety, low self-esteem, and perfectionism, as well as those who find themselves caught in the cycle of people-pleasing. As a neurodivergent therapist, I also bring a unique perspective and understanding to those navigating life through the lens of neurodiversity. Whether you are autistic, ADHD, or identify with other forms of neurodivergence, I provide a safe space where you can be heard, understood, and celebrated for who you truly are.

My Approach:

I believe that every individual carries within them the potential for growth, healing, and change. My approach is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental, offering a sanctuary where you can express yourself freely without the fear of being misunderstood or dismissed. Together, we will explore the roots of your struggles, develop tools to manage anxiety, and work towards building a stronger sense of self-worth.

I also recognise that traits like perfectionism and people-pleasing often come from a place of deep care, but can turn into barriers that keep us from living authentically. My goal is to help you untangle these patterns, so you can set healthy boundaries, honour your needs, and move forward with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Whether we’re navigating the intricacies of anxiety or exploring the nuances of neurodiversity, I’m here to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where your voice is valued, and your progress is celebrated.
