Hello, my name is Jorge. I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ).
I run a private practice in North London, working with clients for open-ended or short-term therapy, both in person and online. Previously, I have also worked several years in different psychotherapy and counselling services across London.
I have experience helping people with a variety challenges that life can throw at us such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low mood, low self-esteem, family issues, relationship issues, social anxiety separation and divorce, stress, bereavement and loss, feeling lost or stuck, loneliness, addiction, anger issues and others.
I am qualified in Integrative Relational Psychotherapy. This allows me to flexibly draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, which means we can find the best way of meeting your needs in the therapeutic process. Whatever may be bringing you to therapy, my aim is to support you in finding your way to a more fulfilling life.
My approach is to co-create a warm space and trusting connection between us, where we can explore what is bringing you to therapy with care and curiosity, and gentle challenge when needed. My hope is to do this thoughtfully and always in service of your therapeutic process.
The relationship we build is central to why psychotherapy can be a transformative experience. I am invested in working collaboratively and creatively with you so we can look with compassion and honesty at patterns and experiences in your life, and relationships, that may be causing you distress, or no longer working for you.
I welcome and enjoy working with people from different walks of life. I respect and value your unique background, being mindful of your personal history, culture, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation and the beliefs and values you may hold.

My first session
I usually suggest having an initial session to understand in detail what you are struggling with and what you are hoping from therapy, to discuss how I work and any questions you may have, and also to have a first experience of what it could be like for us to work together. Afterwards you can decide if you would like to start therapy with me.
If you decide to continue, we would then agree a weekly time slot for your sessions, either for open-ended therapy or for a brief period (8 to 12 sessions), depending on your needs and what you would like to work on.
I am also happy to have a free 15-minute introductory phone call for any initial questions you may have before booking a first session, if it feels helpful for you.
Fees
The fee for the first session is £40. For all sessions afterwards, the fee is £70 per weekly session. All sessions last 50 minutes.
